This is so fucked up. I hate animal testing.

I’m not saying I like animal testing, but would you rather the doctors test undeveloped drugs like these on people? The point of animal testing is mostly to minimize deaths in clinical trials with humans.

From the FDA: Before new drugs are tested on humans, they are tested in the laboratory. If the drug performs as expected, scientists then test it on animals. Scientists monitor the effects of the drug on animals and then determine whether or not the drug could be potentially helpful for humans. If it passes the animal testing period, it is approved for clinical trials with humans, where it is tested extensively

Except that this isn’t even harmful to the animals. This was testing the effects of Marijuana on animals. For one, if anything bad happened to the animals, people wouldn’t still be making up lies to prevent Marijuana use. Second, this testing was from the late 60’s for 70’s (I don’t remember exactly when), so it’s not like this is still happening. Admittedly, there was some Marijuana testing where several lab animals either died, or developed serious conditions, however, those tests were badly performed.
